protect Your Brand

without the high priced legal fees.

But without a registered trademark, your brand might not be legally yours.

Every day you sell your offers, share about your podcast, or talk about your business, you're risking someone else thinking, "What a great name, I should use that for myself!"

You've built a brand you love that reflects your unique vision, voice, and values...

(Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, so they say.)

Trademarks protect you from being copied.

There's only one way to truly own your brand: a registered trademark.

They tell the world that your brand identity is not for the taking.

You can trademark your business name, course name, podcast name, a slogan, or any other specific word or design that tells the consumer who the good or service is from.

When you register your trademark, you’re putting everyone else on notice. Checkmate.

You don’t want to risk copycats stealing your brand ...

But registering a trademark has always sounded like a long and complicated process you don’t have time for. Or maybe you’ve considered hiring a lawyer, but the $3,000+ price tag doesn’t fit into your budget right now.

A registered trademark is more than just legal protection—it’s a symbol of authority and credibility that tells the world your business is legitimate and established.

Losing legitimacy and recognition

Without a trademark registration, it can be hard to prove ownership and even harder to get a copycat to back down, leading to confused customers and lost revenue (not to mention the stress!)

A copycat you can’t stop

If someone else trademarks a name or logo similar to yours, you might be forced to rebrand entirely, which means starting over with your audience and losing the brand recognition you’ve worked so hard to build.

A full rebrand and $4k+ on a designer

Trademarks are a first-in-line game, and if someone registers your business name, logo, or tagline before you do, they will own the legal rights to it—even if you’ve been using it longer.

Someone else registering first

But every day you wait, your brand (and your business) is at risk of:

  • You’re ready to protect your brand from copycats and competitors who might try to profit off your hard work.
  • You want to save money by learning how to register trademarks on your own, and be able to protect multiple trademarks as your business grows.
  • You’re willing to spend at least $350 on government filing fees to register your trademark.

  • Yes! This course is designed specifically for non-lawyers and walks you through each step in plain language.

With that said, the USPTO has two requirements for non-lawyers registering trademarks:

    • You must be a US citizen or legal resident
    • You must be the owner of the trademark or of the business that owns the trademark (you can’t file an application for someone else)

If you’re not a US citizen or legal resident, you can still register a trademark in the US, but you’ll need to hire a US licensed attorney to file the application for you.

  • The course includes about 5 hours of video content covering the whole trademark registration process, but you’ll likely spread the work out over time as you go through each step of registration.

Performing a clearance search and filing your application, the bulk of the work of registration, will likely take about 4-6 hours. After that, the amount of work depends on your type of application and what roadblocks, if any, you hit along the way.

I had one student file her trademark application within 24 hours of joining the course!

The trademark application process on a whole takes an average of 13 months, but can take much longer depending on the type of application you file and whether there are any issues.

  • Your investment in the Trademark Roadmap does not include any filing fees associated with your application with the USPTO.

You’ll have to pay an application filing fee to the USPTO to submit your application. This fee is $350 per class and most people in the online space file in 1-3 classes (that’s $350 to $1,050 in filing fees).

Additional filing fees of about $150 per class apply if you file an Intent-to-Use application (your trademark isn’t in use yet) or request an extension.

If you face an Office Action that you can’t handle on your own, you’ll need to pay a lawyer to help you resolve it. This cost varies depending on the complexity of the issue. The course goes over what types of Office Actions you can handle and when to hire help, as well as tips to avoid facing a complex Office Action in the first place.

  • As many as you want! That’s the beauty of a trademark course, once you have the knowledge, you can use it as many times as you want.

When you hire someone to file a trademark for you, you have to pay a separate fee for each application (logo, business name, podcast name, course name, etc. are each separate applications).

If you have big plans for your business and see yourself registering multiple trademarks, the Trademark Roadmap will pay for itself many times over.

  • As long as you need it! Your purchase comes with lifetime-of-the-program access to the course content.

You can log in to your dashboard at any time to access the material. The other best part: you’ll get any updates or additions at no extra cost!

  • Yes! Any business that markets to U.S. consumers can benefit from a U.S. trademark BUT only United States citizens and legal residents are allowed to file their own trademarks with the USPTO.

If you’re not a U.S. citizen or legal resident, the USPTO requires that you hire an attorney licensed in the U.S. to file on your behalf and this course would not be helpful to you.
